I am a commercial helicopter pilot who flies a lot of interstate ferries using an iPad running OzRunways for navigation purposes.
I have had my iPad overheat twice and turn off, both times because I forgot to turn the X-Naut on!
The first time was about 15 minutes after departure... when I noticed it overheated, I turned the X-Naut on and was able to restore full power and normal operations approximately 5 minutes later.
The second time was sitting on the ground at Proserpine, Nth Qld (high 30's outside the cabin, even hotter inside) trying to lodge a flight plan. Once again, after the iPad overheated and shut down, I turned the X-Naut on and was able to restore full power and normal operations approximately 5 minutes later.
The final recommendation I can give this product is to say;
1) I absolutely love this product and would replace it instantly if it was damaged or broken.
2) I'd be very hesitant to depart on a long distance ferry without it
