Stealth Aviation Aircraft Push to Talk Switch
Aviation headsets typically, are not equipped with integral push-to-talk buttons. This is because most modern aeroplanes have push-to talk-buttons built into the control yolk. The solution is to add a portable PTT 'strap on' push- to-talk button with a plug-in connection.
Pilots have told us they would prefer a PTT that was activated by pushing down on the button, just like the ones built into the control yolks of today's newly manufactured aeroplanes. They also said that the 'industry standard' strap on PTTs are much too bulky, and protrude excessively to the side, making them clumsy to use, and sometimes interferring with the flight controls. Other standard PTTs need electrical modification to operate with intercom systems.
The Stealth Aviation AD13 uses a strap on PTT Design, housed in a small square box only about half the size of other units. It's miniature Softouch, highly reliable push button has been position so that the pilot can press downward to invoke the radio transmission function, instead of using a clumsy sideways motion required, by older PTT designs.
The Stealth Aviation AD13 does not require electrical modification to work with any aircraft or portable intercom systems. It comes complete with a standard GA Aviation microphone plug and a special slim line line jack, coiled cable with Velcro fastening straps. The AD13 is ready to be installed and removed in a hurry anywhere any time.
Suitable for all GA style headsets.
